Just to give you an update on the earlier article about Jim Thomson’s “Robin Oig” one-man play, because of restriction on live performance, the plan had been to film this. Local videographer, David Shearer (ViewGo), had agreed to film, we had secured the services of a young Glasgow actor, Kieran Borland, the Robin Oig theme tune was composed by John Dew for flute, fiddle and piano and Balfron’s Kate Costello had taken on the task of costume-making.
The idea had been to film the drama at the Scottish Youth Theatre in Glasgow’s Merchant City but their current COVID-19 policies exclude use by outside organisation. Fingers crossed that if/when restraints continue to ease we can fire ahead with this ambitious venture.
